Understanding your participation

Please read this information carefully.  

Exizent appreciate your interest in participating in our Exizent Research Community (the “Group”) – thank you. By being part of the Group, you will be invited to contribute to activites where we will request feedback (“Research”) on designs and ideas. 

This Research may help us to improve our products (including the Exizent platform) and identify opportunities where we could add services that will help innovate and improve the bereavement process for everyone involved.  

The Group will run over the course of 12 months, during which time we will run cycles of Research. Invites will be sent to you via email explaining the type of Research we are conducting and inviting you to take part if you wish. 

Activities may include: 

• Usability studies – 1-2-1 sessions with an Exizent facilitator online using screen share 

• Surveys 

• Polls 

• Interviews - 1-2-1 online  

How it will work 

As part of the Group, you agree that we may send you invites to take part in Research. You may respond to these invites to request that you are considered to take part in such Research (a “Research Participation Request”). If we accept your Research Participation Request, we will let you know. 

We reserve the right not to accept a Research Participation Request, including where a particular item of Research is subject to limited numbers or where we are selecting participants for a particular item of Research based on specific criteria. 

If we accept your Research Participation Request, you agree to provide such information, opinions and feedback as we may reasonably request for the purposes of conducting our Research. 

For Research activity which we regard as requiring considerably more effort or time on your part, we may offer an incentive by way of thank you for your contribution. This incentive will be made clear in writing at the point of invite to take part in such Research. If you are selected to take part in Research in which an incentive is offered, you agree to supply us with such details as we may reasonably require to allow us to provide such incentive to you. 

Incentives may include: 

• Cash - by way of agreed online transfer 

• Vouchers - by way of online transfer 

Research will be co-ordinated by a Moderator/Facilitator who will be your point of contact with us throughout the duration of the Research activity. 

Purposes of Research 

By participating in the Group and/or any particular item of Research, you agree that we may use any information provided by or collected from you during a particular item of Research (“Research Data”) for internal research, reporting and improvement purposes. You further agree that we may incorporate such Research Data in external reports, provided that any such Research Data is anonymised before it is disclosed to external parties. 

Please note, we may use third party service providers to help facilitate a particular item of Research. In such cases, the requirement mentioned above to anonymise Research Data shall not apply. 

By participating in the Group and/or any particular item of Research, you agree that all intellectual property rights in the Research Data shall be owned by us. 

Confidentiality 

By participating in the Group and/or any particular item of Research, you agree at all times (including after the end of your participation in the Group and/or any particular item of Research) to keep confidential our confidential information (whether or not marked confidential) and to procure that any employees, consultants, agents or representatives also keep confidential our confidential information. You agree only to use our confidential information for the purposes of your participation in the Group and/or in a particular item of Research.
